Rebekah Sokol graduated from Tufts University, and then went on to Boston College Law School. She has spent the majority of her career so far with the Albany County Public Defender's Office, defending indigent clients accused of crimes. She specializes in violent felonies, particularly homicides, and handles the most serious cases in her office. Recently she was promoted to Felony Supervisor, and oversees all of the felony attorneys in the Public Defender's Office.
