LaRonda Martin
Biography
LaRonda Renee Martin has more than twenty-five years’ experience working as a defense attorney. She is employed as an Assistant Federal Public Defender (AFPD) with the Federal Defenders Office, District of Nevada in Las Vegas. Ms. Martin’s prior defender experience includes the District of Puerto Rico, Middle District of Alabama, Western District of Tennessee, and the Atlanta Public Defender’s Office. Before moving to Atlanta, she managed, for seven years, her own private law practice and worked three years for the Missouri Public Defender System in St. Louis. Before succumbing to the criminal defense “kool aid,” LaRonda Martin served as a bond finance attorney in Manhattan, New York. She has taken more than 100 felony jury trials to a verdict. Best number so far, thirteen, consecutive, felony, not guilty verdicts.
LaRonda created and delivered to various forums, her Street Law presentation in the States of Missouri, Georgia, Florida, and Alabama. She hopes to reach many more youth in the future. Her mantra: “The more we educate today – the less are incarcerated tomorrow.”
