Emily Strand is a Deputy Public Defender at the Clark County Public Defender’s Office in Las Vegas Nevada, where she primarily handles domestic violence cases. Emily received her law degree from the William S. Boyd School of Law and received dual bachelor’s degrees in psychology and sociology, with emphases in criminology, from the University of Portland.

Emily is passionate about pro-bono work and regularly works with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada and other non-profit organizations. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and traveling. Causes that deal with children, healthcare, LGBTQ issues, and animals are especially important to her.
