Andy Casanave was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in October 1982. In 1994 he resigned as a State prosecutor and hung his shingle. He remained in private practice through the devastation of Hurricane Rita. Biography

Andy Casanave was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in October 1982. In 1994 he resigned as a State prosecutor and hung his shingle. He remained in private practice through the devastation of Hurricane Rita. In 2007 he was asked to join the local Public Defender’s office with the promise that the pay was enough to keep him from practicing in Divorce Court. Presently he is a Supervising Attorney principally representing clients facing life imprisonment without parole.

Andy has been married 35 years to Vicky Smith Casanave and they have one adult son, Stephen.
