Biography

Jeff Lee is a Certified Criminal Trial Specialist in Memphis, Tennessee. He began his career as a state public defender, and currently has a private practice with a number of appointed cases. He has studied at the National Criminal Defense College, the Trial Lawyers College, and the Tennessee Criminal Defense College. Jeff recently obtained an LL.M. in Advocacy and is working toward licensure as a clinical mental health counselor. He lives in Memphis with his wife, Lindsey, and their pug, Biscuit.

Biography

Dumaka Shabazz serves as the Chief Federal Defender for the Middle District of Tennessee, where he leads a team committed to providing high-quality, client-centered representation to individuals facing federal charges. With over 20 years of experience in criminal law, he is recognized for his courtroom skill, strategic advocacy, and dedication to justice. A respected educator and national trainer, Mr. Shabazz is an adjunct professor of Trial Advocacy at Vanderbilt University Law School, a longtime faculty member at the Orientation for New Assistant Federal Defenders, and training faculty for NCDC . He has presented nationally on trial skills, ethics, and racial justice in the legal system.
